FIREFIGHTERS tackled a fire involving a coach in Larkhill early this morning (May 3).

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said it received five 999 calls regarding a coach on fire in Willoughby Road.

Fire crews from Amesbury and Salisbury attended the incident which was reported at 12.36am. A water carrier from Andover was also sent to the scene.

A spokesperson for the fire service said: "Five 999 calls were received regarding a coach on fire in Willoughby Road. Crews from Amesbury and Salisbury were mobilised. Once in attendance a water carrier was requested to attend to assist with dealing with the fire, this was mobilised from Andover. Three hose reel jets and a main line were used to extinguish the fire."
