Coronavirus cases in Wiltshire have risen slightly in the past week.

According to the latest figures by Public Health England, 96 infections were reported in the week ending on April 28.

That's an increase of 25 on the previous weekly period.

The rate of new cases across the Wiltshire Council area now stands at 19.2 per 100,000.

Despite the small increase, most parts of Wiltshire continue to report very low cases (between zero and two).

Data for these areas is suppressed to protect the privacy of individuals.

However, in the week to April 28, a number of areas in Salisbury also reported a slight rise in infections.

Salisbury Cathedral & Harnham reported five new cases, an increase of three on the week before.

Churchfields reported four cases - two more than the previous week - while Salisbury Town North & Milford had a total of three, an increase of just one.

Other areas that have seen cases go up slightly are Great Wishford, Woodford Valley & Porton (5 cases; +3 on previous week); Amesbury (5 cases; +1 on previous week) and Tidworth & Ludgershall (3 cases; +1 on previous week).
