- Salisbury residents head to the polls today for elections which could shape the future of the city.
- Polling stations opened at 7am and will stay open until 10pm tonight (May 6).
- Voters will have their say on who will represent their area on Wiltshire Council, as well as those who will make up the next Salisbury City Council, and other town and parish councils.
- They can also decide who will be the next police and crime commissioner for Wiltshire.
- The outcome could affect issues such as whether or not Salisbury has a police station in future, the return of a low traffic zone in the city centre and how councillors approach major planning applications for the area.
- Our live blog will bring you pictures, information about the candidates, guides to Covid-19 measures at polling stations and much more throughout the day.
