A BUSINESS has lent its support to a tree planting project in Ringwood.

Abacus Vehicle Hire is encouraging customers to make a donation for Ringwood Actions for Climate Emergency’s (RACE against time) autumn tree planting project. The firm will will also contribute £2 for every donation made by a customer.

A spokesperson for Abacus said: “Every single donation, no matter how big or small, is turned into a tree. Planted, maintained and ready to flourish for years to come. We feel so privileged to be a part of this and to be able to contribute towards the battle against climate change.”

Mary DeBoos, Trustee of Ringwood Actions for Climate Emergency (RACE), said: “We are delighted to be part of this initiative, not only will the donations help towards our plans to plant more trees in the Ringwood area, but it also raises the need to be more aware of your carbon footprint.”

Louise Mitchell, Trees for the Future lead, added: “We are so pleased to have a new partnership and are already planning locations for autumn plantings. It is great to be getting support from local businesses. We’d like to express thanks to David Wolfenden and all of the Abacus team for making this happen.”
