Jonathon Seed has won the election as Wiltshire Police and Crime Commissioner, despite clearly being an ineligible candidate under the rules due to a past drink driving conviction.
There now has to be a 2nd election at an apparent cost of £1.4 million.

Is it the taxpayer via Wiltshire Council who are going to fund this waste of money, when so many people are struggling?
Even if central government fund it as Wiltshire Council seem to be suggesting, that is still a huge waste of presumably taxpayer’s money.
As the Conservative Party should have realised under the rules that he was not eligible, are they going to contribute to this cost from their funds?
