DAWN French has shared memories of a comedy show she played at the Arts Centre.
The date of the show is not known, but in the tweet, Dawn suggests it would have been some time in the 1980s.
For just £3, St Edmunds Arts Centre was hosting the comedy duo French and Saunders "with their revue of zany humour, sophistication, and vulgarity".
It also included cabaret, supper and a bar.
Working with Fatty. Found this... from..? 80’s? £3 to see our zany vulgar revue AND have supper...rip off. pic.twitter.com/hw8gp34zn6

'An awesome throwback'
Responding to the tweet, Wiltshire Creative said: "If only we could see French and Saunders for £3 AND get supper at Salisbury Arts Centre nowadays!
"Thanks, Dawn French for sharing an awesome throwback."
They added that the upcoming Flo and Joan and Ed Gamble shows don't include dinner and costs a bit more than inflation, saying: "Damn you inflation".

Helen Altshul replied to Dawn's tweet saying she thought her parents were there:
OMG I think my parents were there! My mum mentioned something about having seen you live & we used to go to St Edmunds a lot in the 70s & early 80s 😀
