A MOTHER and daughter duo from Fordingbridge are going to be serving up a tasty treat in a bid to raise funds for the Stars Appeal.

Jo and Chloe Jarvis are going to be trekking 100km across the Jordanian desert in April 2022 in aid of Salisbury Hospital’s Charity.

The trek had been due to take place in April 2021 but due to the coronavirus pandemic the trip was cancelled, leaving them more time to raise money.

Ready for the bank holiday weekend on May 29 to 31, the pair will be offering a Cream Tea for Charity.

For just £5 pre-order a takeaway cream tea box for one which includes two homemade scones, a pot of clotted cream, a pot of jam and two tea bags, which can be collected between 10am and 12 noon.

Jo and Chloe have already completed a number of fundraising events which have included a Valentine’s Ball, virtual quizzes and car washes .

Jo and Chloe both have their own reasons for committing to the once-in-a-lifetime trek.

Chloe suffers with anxiety and so new experiences and anything outside of her comfort zone can be a challenge, and back in 2014 Jo broke both her arms in an accident while trying to help out a stranger and so now has a fear of falling.

Jo has also worked at Salisbury Hospital for nearly 20 years.

To pre-order please email creamtea4charity@gmail.com or call 01425 656395.

During the pandemic Stars Appeal projects have been supporting staff and patients. They have included a staff counsellor and mental health nurse to help staff, Wi-Fi to keep staff and patients connected with loved ones as well as morale boosting treats and meals for staff.
