DISRUPTION is expected for bus passengers due to overnight road closures on the A338, Salisbury Road near Ringwood.

The More Bus X3 route will be affected by the closure.

The company's website says the X3 will "not be serving any stops between Ringwood and Fordingbridge, between the closure times" of 8pm and 6am.

It said: "The A338 is to be closed this evening for seven nights for resurfacing. The closure is between the A31 roundabout Ringwood and Snails Lane from 20:00-06:00. The closure is both directions.

"As such the X3 service will divert from Ringwood via Alderholt and then into Fordingbridge.

"As such, the X3 will not be serving any stops between Ringwood and Fordingbridge, between these times.

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused."

The seven nights of closures are coming into force from this evening (Monday, May 24) to allow for resurfacing.

The closure will be in place from the roundabout under the A31 to a point just south of Snails Lane.

The work is being carried out by Hampshire County Council as part of its Operation Resilience maintenance programme.

Work will not take place over the Bank Holiday weekend.
