PLANS for an oak-framed building in the grounds of a house have been rejected.
New Forest District Council has refused an application relating to Greens Farm in Salisbury Road, Breamore, which forms part of the village's conservation area.
A report to councillors said: "The proposal is to create a triple car port, with store room attached, and lean-to log store.
"The proposal would result in a building which would not appear subservient to the main dwelling.
"The outbuilding's excessive length, height and massing would result in a visually intrusive structure which would have an adverse impact upon the character and appearance of the countryside.
"Due to its close proximity to the previously converted farm buildings the outbuilding would appear cramped within its setting."
