THE welcome return of sunshine has been reflected in the Journal’s camera club this week.

Birds, bugs and sunset landscapes are just some of the pictures that have been captured over the last few days, as camera clubbers enjoyed the sunny bank holiday weekend.

Last week we announced the winner of our photography competition for May.

Gabrielle Schnapka took first place in the ‘Architecture’-inspired contest with an image capturing the beauty of Water Lane in the city centre.

The theme for this month’s competition is ‘Yellow’.
