TWO cases heard at Salisbury Magistrates' Court in March:

JAMIE LEE BREWER, aged 28, of Cherry Orchard Lane, Salisbury, pleaded guilty to driving a Renault Clio in Swindon without the appropriate licence or policy of insurance on March 3 last year. On the same day Brewer gave a false report to a police officer that an offence had been committed. He was ordered to pay compensation of £750 and his driving record was endorsed with six points. Brewer must attend activities and appointments as instructed by an officer.

ROBIN HARRIS, aged 32, of West Street, Fordingbridge, pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Focus in Salisbury on November 10 last year while disqualified from driving and without the appropriate policy of insurance. Harris was committed to prison for four weeks suspended for 12 months. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £125 and costs of £85 and was disqualified from driving for 48 months.

Heard at Swindon Magistrates':

DARREN WHITTAKER, aged 41, of Beaulieu Road, Amesbury, pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Transit along the A36 Ring Road in Salisbury on September 13, 2019, at a speed exceeding 40mph. Whittaker was fined £162 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32 and costs of £110. His driving record was endorsed with six points.

SEAN MICHAEL HILL, aged 21, of a royal electrical and mechanical engineers location in Tidworth, pleaded guilty to driving a Citroen C4 along London Road in Chippenham without the appropriate policy of insurance on February 15 last year. He was fined £223 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32 and costs of £110. His driving record was endorsed with six points.

JAMIE LEE STEVENS, aged 32, of Queenie Drive in Liskeard, Cornwall, pleaded guilty to driving a Peugeot Partner along the A303 High Street in Winterbourne Stoke on May 18 last year at a speed exceeding 40mph. He was fined £850 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £85 and costs of £110. His driving record was endorsed with six points.

SARAH-JANE MCCLUSKEY, aged 36, of Kivel Court, Salisbury, indicated a plea of guilty to possessing a quantity of diamorphine (heroin) while in Melksham on February 1 last year. She was fined £50 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32. She was detained in the courthouse.
