THE A338 between Salisbury and Ringwood is closed near Ibsley after what has been described as a "hideous" road accident.
On Twitter, Downton parish councillor said there is an overturned vehicle and debris, and that the road is "best avoided".

The AA route planner says there are "severe delays" of 17 minutes and delays increasing on A338 Northbound between Ivy Lane and Hern Lane.
Another Twitter account says there at least 35 minute delays in both directions.

Hampshire Police has been contacted for comment.
