THERE was an unusual guest at a Fordingbridge Town Council meeting.
A pigeon managed to get inside the town hall where a planning committee was being held last night (Wednesday June 16).
It had quietly been at the back of the hall, hidden amongst the stacked chairs.
But luckily the young bird decided to wait until most of the items on the agenda had been discussed before making its presence known.
It flew over the heads of councillors while the final few matters were being discussed - causing a bit of a stir. It crashed into the wall before flying to the back of the hall.
The chair of the planning committee, Councillor Diane Paton, before calling the meeting to a close, said: "Is there any other business apart from the pigeon?"
After some encouragement the pigeon was ushered out of the building.
