Salisbury Hospital A&E has warned that patients should only come for medical help if they have a serious or "life-threatening" condition.

They are experiencing high volumes of walk-ins and are "very busy".

A spokesperson from the hospital said: "Our A&E is currently very busy.

"Please only attend if you have a life-threatening illness or serious injury.

"If you need medical attention please contact NHS 111 ( and they will direct you to the most appropriate service."
