FIREFIGHTERS came to the rescue of two people who had become trapped after a large tree had fallen onto a property.
The incident on Salisbury Road, Burgate, was reported at around 5.11am today, June 29.
A Tweet posted by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire Control said the two adults had a "lucky escape" after the tree came down on the holiday home they were staying in.

A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said: "Fordingbridge firefighters were called at 5.11am after a large tree had fallen onto the annex of a property on Salisbury Road in Burgate, blocking the exit stairway for two occupants, who were uninjured.
"The crew used battery saws to cut away the tree and gain access before making the scene safe."
