THE number of Covid cases has risen in the Fordingbride and Ringwood area according to the latest government figures. 

The latest map of new infections is broken down by postcode area and reveals where cases have risen or decreased in the last seven days up to July 5. 

WHERE CASES HAVE RISEN

Fordingbridge, Rockbourne & Woodgreen

Total cases 17 - up 11 (183.3%)

Case rate per 100,000 people: 157.9

Ringwood South 
Total cases 11 - up 6 (120.0%)

Case rate per 100,000 people: 135.8

Ringwood North & Ibsley

Total cases 18 - up 8 (80.0%)

Case rate per 100,000 people: 251.0

Alderholt & Sixpenny Handley

Total cases 6 - up by 4 (200.0%)

Case rate per 100,000 people: 92.0

West Moors

Total cases 5 - up 2 (66.7%)

Case rate per 100,000 people: 65.6

East Verwood

Total cases 18 - up 13 (260.0%)

Case rate per 100,000 people: 242.4

WHERE CASES HAVE DECREASED

Lyndhurst & Minstead
Total cases 4 - down 2 (-33.3%)

Case rate per 100,000 people: 70.6

Bransgore & Burley

Total cases 9 - down 8 (-47.1%)

Case rate per 100,000 people: 129.3

St Leonards

Total cases 4 - down 5 (-55.6%)

Case rate per 100,000 people: 54.4

West Verwood

Total cases 15 - down 7 (-31.8%)

Case rate per 100,000 people: 194.6

The data is available on a map on the government coronavirus dashboard, which breaks down infections into Middle Super Output Areas (MSOAs) - small areas with an average population of around 7,200.

For each MSOA, the map shows the number of cases in the latest weekly period, any change compared to the week before and the rate of new cases.
