GoSkydive has issued a statement on this afternoon's plane crash at Old Sarum.

Emergency services were called to Old Sarum Airfield at around 2.24pm after a light aircraft crash, with one report of minor injury

GoSkydive say it was a "mechanical incident while landing", but that the pilot was alone on board and was not hurt.

The statement added: "Right now we're investigating as to the cause. We will be resuming full operations tomorrow.

"The emergency services were called as per our standard operating procedures. Although the air ambulance was called, they decided that it was not necessary to land."
