THE A303 is closed near Mere after a "serious acccident".
According to the AA Roadmap, the road is closed and there is slow traffic, after the serious accident involving a car, both ways from B3081 to B3092.
It adds: "Affecting traffic heading between Wincanton and Mere."
UPDATE: The road has now reopened
Wiltshire Police has been contacted for comment.
