IN TIME to celebrate “freedom week” Salisbury Live has a double helping of events for music lovers.

On Friday (July 23) in the market square the Deloreons will headline an evening of live music starting at 5pm, which runs until 10pm. Entry is free to Salisbury Live in the Square.

Also performing are reggae favourites, HP & the Reggae Source, 80s disco specialists, The Stingrays, Jack Card and Ribble.

There will be real ale and cocktail bars, hot food vendors and outside seating at the Market and Ox Row Inns.

On the Saturday (July 24), there is an afternoon and evening of music across two stages at Salisbury Live Lift Off which takes place at Salisbury Rugby Club (training field). Gates will be open 3pm-10pm

This event will be headlined by Europe’s top Madness tribute, One Step Behind, who are back by popular demand.

Support comes from Salisbury’s top covers band The Zucchinis, musical story tellers, Lump, popular ska outfit Da’ Ska Assassins, sets by two talented young acts Signature Vision and Home from the Unknown, punk/new wave covers band CLS. Plus there will be showcases courtesy of the revitalised Sound Emporium youth music/media organisation.

There are bars and food vendors on site. Tickets are still available from skiddle.com priced at £5 (under 10’s free).

This event has limited parking so public transport or travelling on foot is advised

Salisbury Live Out & About featuring live music in pubs and clubs across the city will be held on July 30. Free entry.
