FROM singalongs to toe-tappers, music and dancing filled the city across the weekend with the return of Salisbury Live.

On Friday, July 23, music lovers enjoyed an evening of entertainment in the Market Square with performances from HP & the Reggae Source, The Stingrays, Jack Card and Ribble.

Headlined by The Deloreons, this Salisbury Live event marked the first weekend after 'Freedom Day' (July 19) - when the Covid-19 lockdown officially came to an end.

With cocktails and food also on offer, hundreds joined in with five hours of festivities.

The following day, July 24, Salisbury Live Lift Off was headlined by Europe’s top Madness tribute, One Step Behind, back by popular demand.

The event on Salisbury Rugby Club's training field also welcomed live music from musical storytellers Lump, popular ska outfit Da’ Ska Assassins and more.

Salisbury Live organiser Colin Holton said it was "fantastic to be back", adding: "What a weekend!

"There was no rain as forecasted and despite some technical gremlins on Saturday resulting in, through no fault of their own, Second Knife and the Zucchinis having to cancel their sets, it was an overall resounding success.

"We would like to thank Salisbury City and Wiltshire Councils for their support and all of our sponsors for making this all possible."

Salisbury Live Out and About, featuring live music in pubs and clubs across the city, will be held on Friday, July 30.
