WITH golf, cocktails, music and a variety of cuisines to tuck into, fun was had by all as 'Fayre on the Square' arrived in Salisbury at the weekend.

The summer event launched on Saturday, July 24, and was welcomed into the city centre by hundreds of visitors.

The fayre, organised by Salisbury City Council, has brought a mini golf course to the Guildhall Square, as well as supporting the return of pop-up hostelry Salisbury City Garden Bar.

Local vendors are on the scene offering street food dishes, including Charter 1227 serving a Mediterranean menu and The Eccentric Group dishing up morning breakfast bagels, as well as Mexican food later in the day.

The council was "delighted" with the launch, adding there were "many people turning up to enjoy the nine-hole mini golf, the delicious food and drink from the vendors and the return of the Salisbury City Garden Bar".

A council spokesperson added: "There was a lovely vibe throughout the day and the city council looks forward to welcoming more people to this fab summer event up until August 31."
