A WOMAN who was missing in the Salisbury area has now been found, police have confirmed. 

Frances Tart was reported missing earlier this morning (Wednesday July 28) when her car was found on the westbound carriageway of the A303, near to the Wylye interchange.

The 34-year-old left her home in Derbyshire at around midnight and was stopped by police in Surrey at around 2.00am.

Her car was then found on the A303 at around 5.30am.

A police spokesperson said: "Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal about a woman who had gone missing after her car was found on the A303 earlier this morning.

"We are pleased to confirm that she has been found and is safe."
