HERE are just five things to do in and around Salisbury this Friday and Saturday.

1. Summer Garden Party

Salisbury Trust for the Homeless (STFH) is holding a Summer Garden Party on Friday July 30, from 6pm to 8pm at The Salisbury Museum.

Those attending will get free entry to the museum’s Richard Chopping: The Original Bond Artist exhibition.

There will be classical music from Musica Rustica and the £15 ticket includes a drink and canapés.

2. Salisbury Live Out and About

Acts will be performing at pubs across the city from 8.30pm.

3. Harnham’s Great Day Out

The event will take place on Saturday July 31 on the Parish Hall field in Lower Street and runs from 3pm until 8pm.

The afternoon will be a chance for everyone to gather and celebrate.

The Harvest Table will be present and there will be stalls, sports and games for the youngsters, and teas with piano accompaniment in the afternoon.

There will be a treasure hunt in St George’s Church and Churchyard, and at around 5pm, a communal singsong led by St John Singers.

From 6pm to 8pm, relax with High Octave Jazz, a bar, and BBQ. There will also be a grand raffle.

The event was organised to launch the Harnham Hub Appeal, which aims to raise £100,000 towards transforming the Parish Hall into a fully accessible, up-to-date, sustainable hub for the community. All are welcome, admission is free.

4. Winterslow Drama Group - Outdoor performance

Winterslow Drama Group is back to entertain audiences once again with an evening of outdoor entertainment.

On Saturday July 31, the group presents Lockdown in Little Grimley and a selection of short “pint-sized” plays.

The open air performance is going to be taking place at Winterslow Village Hall but will be held inside if the weather is wet.

Doors open at 5pm with the performance starting at 6.15pm.

Audiences are invited to bring their own picnics and drinks along as well as chairs and blankets.

5. Salisbury Music Awards

It takes place on Saturday July 31 at The Winchester Gate.

The awards have been voted for by the public.

Acts preforming include Flow & Hustle, Acrustic Badger Band, Pugwall, Next Stop Olympus, Echoes, Vatican Romp, and Jack Card.
