AFTER receiving hundreds of pictures, the winners of the latest camera club competition can be revealed.

For July the Journal’s photography group was not set a theme, meaning members could enter their best or favourite images to be considered for ‘photo of the month’.

Judged by the editorial team, first place was awarded to Tim Madden, for capturing a tranquil, candid setting with breathtaking colours and depth.

Ben Halski secured second place with his clever use of grass as a frame, while documenting the perfect summer evening along the river.

Emma Siddons’ shot of an owl came in third for successfully capturing a stare right down the camera lens.
