Salisbury and Wiltshire is set to see thundery showers tomorrow.

According to the Met Office, the region will see "unsettled" weather into next week, only becoming drier and less windy on Wednesday.

Today (Saturday, August 7), there is a bright afternoon with some scattered showers predicted, with a fairly cool breeze.

However, some "heavy and thundery" showers are expected tomorrow, which may last for the next few days.

Salisbury is expected to see heavy rain that will change to thunder by lunchtime.

From 8am, there is a 80 per cent chance of rain, with a brief window around midday where we may see a sunny period, with a 40 per cent chance of rain.

Around 1pm, this changes to thundery showers, which is expected to last until 5pm.

For the whole region, the Met Office predicts for tomorrow: "A continued risk of showers, some of which may become heavy and thundery.

"Some sunny spells developing in between the showers.

"Remaining blustery, particularly around the coast. Maximum Temperature 19 °C."

After tomorrow, further showers are expected on Monday and Tuesday, again with a risk of thunder.

Nationally, the UK weather for the next few days will be "Unsettled and showery for most".
