Winterslow shoppers welcomed a new convenience store that opened its doors for the first time on Friday (August 6).

A One Stop has opened in Middleton, Winterslow.

The brand new store opened on Friday, with a special launch celebration on Saturday (August 7), attended by members of the community.

MP John Glen cut the ribbon and customers joined the celebrations, with branded One Stop shopper bags filled with One Stop products handed out to the first 50 customers.

Five customers also got their hands on Golden Tickets hidden around the store and walked away with a £10 One Stop voucher each.

Owner of Central Stores in the village, Franchisee Pav Garcha, said: "It was great to see the community get together to celebrate the launch of our new store and it gave us a wonderful opportunity to meet so many people from the area, who we look forward to getting to know in the coming weeks and months.

“The feedback we’re getting from customers is they love the new store, its brightness, cleanliness, range of offers and they’re incredibly pleased we’re now in their area.

“Community is at the heart of every store and today’s opening is testament to the reception that One Stop receives. Thank you to everyone for welcoming us so warmly and we look forward to serving them all for years to come at our new store in Winterslow."

The new store is open from Monday to Saturday from 6am to 8pm, and on Sunday between 6am and 4pm.

The One Stop offers the National Lottery, Health Lottery, and you can send post via Royal Mail.

The store will also have a range of chilled beers and wines and a variety of newspapers and magazines, and a £3 lunch meal deal.
