FIREFIGHTERS were called to a report of a gas leak at a property in Verwood after the occupants had gone to hospital with suspected carbon monoxide poisoning.
Crews from Verwood and Cranborne attended Station Road on Monday evening (August 23).
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said a call was received at 6.18pm reporting a gas leak.
Firefighters used gas monitors to check for gas leaks but it was a false alarm.
The spokesperson said: "Call received at 6.18pm yesterday to reports of a gas leak at a private property on Station Road, Verwood.
"The occupiers had gone to hospital with suspected carbon monoxide poisoning.
"One crew from Verwood and one from Cranborne were mobilised to the property and used gas monitors to check for gas leaks but it was a false alarm."
