TWO people have been arrested after burglaries in Ringwood.

It comes after a member of the public reported a burglary in progress to police at 7.36pm yesterday evening (1 September) at a property on Hangersley Hill in Ringwood.

It was reported that a man entered a garage attached to the property and placed a number of food items into a carrier bag before fleeing the scene.

Later that evening, at around 8.45pm, police were alerted to a burglary at Four Acres equestrian facility in Ringwood.

Two sheds had been broken into and a pressure washer and numerous power tools being reported as stolen.

While a further burglary at White Hart Fields occurred at around 8.58pm; whereby a man reportedly entered a house and stole a handbag which contained various personal items including bank cards and gift cards.

Officers conducted a search of the area and found two people matching the descriptions provided by the victims after they were seen on Summerville Road and Cunningham Close.

Police have recovered items which are believed to have been stolen and are yet to be identified by the victims.

A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary and possession of a Class A drug.

A 31-year-old woman from Salisbury was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

They both remain in custody at this time.
