AN INTERACTIVE sculpture that was once in the heart of Salisbury has been relocated to its new home.

Created by artist Tim Scrace, This Too Will Pass has been an eye catching installation in Salisbury City Centre since its arrival in May, encouraging passers-by to chalk messages on to its surface.

The artwork, which was initially located in High Street, celebrates the themes of movement and reflection and incorporates hand-selected stones from Salisbury Cathedral’s works yard.

Now, the sculpture can be viewed in Old Fire Station Enterprise Centre on Salt Lane.

Coninciding with its arrival onsite last month, a week of conversations, workshops and networking events was held, spearheaded by Tim.

The sculpture, made from polished stainless steel, recycled paper and local Chilmark stone, can now call the venue, and Salisbury, its forever home.

Salisbury BID originally commissioned the sculpture as part of 'City on the Move', the 800th anniversary celebrations of Salisbury Cathedral, but plans were halted as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
