A PUB in Salisbury has been flooded with donations for refugees from Afghanistan after setting up a drop-off point.
The George and Dragon, in Castle Street, announced last month that it had teamed up with Care4Calais, a charity delivering essential aid and support to refugees living in the UK, Northern France and Belgium.
At a rough estimate, the pub said it has received around four or five tons worth of donations in just under two weeks.
As a result, they are having to stop accepting donations while the current stock is sorted.
Landlord Nathan Lamb said: "The reaction has been incredible, but arguably it has been too good, too quickly, as a lot of us are drained trying to keep up."
The picture posted on Facebook shows just some of the bags donated, as more had to be placed in storage.
Nathan added: "We are currently sorting though the donations and CANNOT take any more at present!
"Wiggles in the background for scale, volunteers Qas & Max broken in the pile as it was 04:30 when this picture was taken!"
