These are the latest figures on deaths and hospitalisations in Wiltshire.

Wiltshire has had nine recorded deaths in the last month.

Between August 30 and September 5, 13 people went into an Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust hospital with the virus.

This shows a decrease of 27.8 per cent compared with the previous seven days.

There were 11 Covid patients in hospital with the virus on September 7, four of whom were on a ventilator.

According to the Government's coronavirus dashboard, Wiltshire saw nine deaths in August where Covid is listed on the death certificate as a cause of death.

This data is published weekly by the ONS, NRS and NISRA, and there is a lag in reporting of at least 11 days due to death registrations.

This brings the total number of deaths registered as caused by Covid-19 in Wiltshire to 861.

A woman in her 70s was the latest to die in Salisbury Hospital after testing positive on Tuesday (September 7).

The patient had underlying health conditions and was being cared for in the hospital.
