IT CLAIMS to be the UK's 'greenest' cruise terminal.
Now, Southampton's new £55m gateway to the city has been officially opened – despite more than 75,000 passengers already going through its doors.
At a special event on Wednesday, the Horizon Cruise Terminal was declared open, with city chiefs, and even a government minister heading down to toast the new building.
But, if you're not one of the lucky few to do so, here we take a look around the new terminal.
As reported, the building is fitted with more than 2,000 roof-mounted solar panels. Owners ABP says it will generate more power than it uses on a day-to-day basis.
It also boasts shore-to-ship power connectivity, allowing ships berthed alongside to switch their engines off and use electrical power supplied from the port.
