STUDENTS from the class of 2021 at Avon Valley College were given a final farewell at their Year 11 leavers prom.

The prom was held on Friday (September 17) at Antrobus House in Amesbury.

Event organiser Michelle Saunders, said: "We were delighted to see our 2021 leavers dressed in their finest and enjoying a final farewell from Avon Valley Academy at the beautiful Antrobus House.

"It’s been a tough year for these students due to Covid. The event was looking unlikely to go ahead earlier in the year however we were able to re-schedule and welcome the majority of our 2021 school leavers back together to celebrate their amazing achievements.

"Our students all looked fabulous and had a fantastic evening with great food and dancing with friends."

Principal Louisa Paston added: "It was a real treat to bring our year 11’s back together for a farewell. They have gone on to college, started apprenticeships, got jobs and I am so proud of all they have overcome and achieved in the last year."
