CASES heard at Salisbury Magistrates' Court:

CHARLES SPENCER FREEMAN, aged 31, of the Royal Artillery, Larkhill, pleaded guilty to driving while exceeding the legal alcohol limit. On June 5 Freeman was driving a Vauxhall Corsa along Salisbury Street, Amesbury, with 93 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He was fined £400 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £40 and costs of £85. His driving record was endorsed with 10 points.

JENNIFER ROSE TODD, aged 31, of Spire View, Nicholas Court, Salisbury, pleaded guilty to remaining at two properties on February 22 and 23, despite closure notices in force. She also admitted breaching supervision requirements after she was released from prison. For this Todd was fined £50 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34. Later appearing at West Hampshire Magistrates’ Court, Todd was sentenced to eight weeks in prison after pleading guilty to stealing from Salisbury’s Marks and Spencer store on June 29. Todd also pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to police and court bail at the appointed time. On top of the prison sentence Todd was ordered to pay compensation of £50.

KAMIL SAPINSKI, aged 30, of Castle Well Mews, Old Sarum, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of drugs. On March 19 last year Sapinski was recorded driving a BMW along Goch Way in Andover with amphetamine in his blood. He pleaded guilty to driving the vehicle without the appropriate licence or policy of insurance. Dealt with as a sitting of the North Hampshire Magistrates’ Court, Sapinski was fined a total of £522 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £52 and costs of £85. He was disqualified from holding a driving licence for 12 months.

IAN DEREK FINNING, aged 55, of Barnard Street, Salisbury, pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman by beating in Tidworth on January 22. He was fined £40 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £95 and costs of £85. He was ordered to attend appointments and activities as instructed by an officer and a restraining order is in force. Appearing at Magistrates’ again, Finning pleaded guilty to making phone calls and sending messages, while a restraining order was in operation, between July 18 and August 15. Finning was committed to prison for seven days suspended for 12 months, and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £128 and costs of £85. He was ordered to attend appointments and activities as instructed by an officer, up to a maximum of 20 days.
