THE Winchester Gate will host a jam-packed evening of laughs tonight as part of their monthly comedy nights.
Performed in their fully covered outdoor theatre tent, this is a fun and unique venue to kick back and enjoy a night of comedy.
Headlining the evening is former BBC Radio One host Tom Deacon. Tom has performed on many successful shows and at festivals across the world and has even been on our screens on BBC2’s The Rob Brydon Show, Dave’s One Night Stand and ITV2’s Fake Reaction. Described by the Guardian as “A mighty fine comic”.
Warming the evening up is the fabulous Joe Wells - a three time Guide Awards winner for best comedy, Joe has made a name for himself as a razor sharp comedian with a unique take on life. As seen on BBC2’s Ouch!, Dave’s Guide to Life, and as tour support for Frankie Boyle.
Eva Bindeman - a fresh face on the South West comedy scene bringing a warm, conversational humour to her stand up with a twist of the unexpected.
Jake Young - a promising newer act, with a wealth of quick one-liners, observations, and stories. Most notably, audiences always enjoy his tales about his ‘larger than life’ family and life as an identical twin.
Robb Blake, landlord of the Winchester Gate said “Our comedy show’s have been an absolute blast, with a fantastic reception from our audiences. We will be serving our delicious fully loaded chips before the show, so people can make a whole night of it!
"What could be better, chips, beer, friends and a good laugh!”
The show starts at 7.30pm, with food served from 5pm-7.15pm.
Tickets are £6 advance or £8 on the door. Go to thewinchestergate.com.
