A CYCLIST has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a crash on the A338.
A 55-year-old man from Shepton Mallet has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury through dangerous driving, being drunk and disorderly and assaulting a police officer.
Hampshire Police were called at 8.27pm on Sunday, October 10 to reports of a collision on the A338 at Fordingbridge, involving a Renault Clio and a cyclist.
The cyclist, a 23-year-old man, suffered life threatening injuries and was taken to Southampton General Hospital.
A 52-year-old man from Bournemouth has also been arrested on suspicion of careless driving and driving whilst unfit through drugs.
They are currently in police custody.
