A MAN exposed himself to a cyclist in Linwood.

Hampshire Constabulary says it received a report of an indecent exposure incident which happened in a section of woodland in Linwood at around 10.35am on Sunday October 10.

A police spokesperson on the Ringwood Police Facebook page said: "A man was seen reportedly exposing himself to a cyclist as she approached him at a gravel junction.

He was only carrying a map, which was used to cover himself as she cycled past him, before he headed in the same direction as the cyclist towards other members of the public.

"We understand that incidents like this can be particularly horrifying or worrying for those who witness them and we treat these reports very seriously. Our local Neighbourhood Policing Team are conducting a number of enquiries in order to identify the individual.

"As always, if you see anything suspicious or have been a victim of a crime, please dial 101 or report this to us via our online reporting tool on the Hampshire Constabulary website. If it is an emergency, dial 999 immediately."
