A 23-YEAR-OLD man who only had a provisional licence has been banned from the roads for 18 months after admitting drink driving.

Beckham Taylor, of Dixon Close, Larkhill, appeared at Swindon Magistrates' Court today (Monday October 18) and pleaded guilty to drink driving, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and driving without insurance.

In June of this year police were called to a report of a disorder at Primrose Place in Durrington and were told that a man had left the scene in his vehicle.

Officers located the vehicle in The Old Dairy in Amesbury, and the driver, 23-year-old Taylor, was subsequently arrested after failing a breath test.

Enquiries also found he was a provisional licence holder and was not being supervised at the time.

He was disqualified from driving for 18 months, fined £300, and ordered to pay £119 in costs and surcharges.
