With Halloween around the corner, the UK’s most paranormal locations have been rounded up.
Whether you believe in the supernatural or not, everybody loves a ghost story, and Wiltshire is 11th in the UK for paranormal sightings according to Psychic World.
Around 377 recorded paranormal sightings have been recorded in the county, according to their data, with the most popular types of sighting in the UK being Spirits or poltergeists, phantom horses and riders, and mythical creatures.
According to Salisbury’s very own ‘Ghost hunter’, who has starred on ITV and international programs, Ray Jorden: “Having grown up in Wiltshire, and having the opportunity to investigate so many alleged haunted locations in Wiltshire I can definitely say in my own opinion that we have some very spooky and haunted locations that's for sure.
“From old houses, to shops, pubs and places of work, you name it I've investigated it while researching the stories attached to these locations.
“I can admit that there have been occasions where strange things have happened that we just cannot put a logical explanation to, but also much of what myself or other people have experienced can be explained with logical and thought.
“It's the things we can’t explain that keeps me investigating all over the UK and the world and to be able to bring these to the TV for you.”
Salisbury is said to have quite a few of its own haunted locations, like this ghost-hunting experience which opened this year in Cross Keys.
Of course, we can’t forget The Haunch of Venison pub, which has been on Minster Street since 1320 and is frequented by the Demented Whist Player ghost if legend is correct.
Yorkshire stands as the area with the strongest paranormal presence, with 790 sightings, and London came second with 685 sightings.
In third place was Lancashire which is famous for Witches and shapeshifters, with 529 paranormal sightings.
