AN 18-YEAR-OLD man sustained minor injuries after a car ended up on its roof at the weekend.

The incident took place in Verely, on the road between Burley and Picket Post.

Hampshire Constabulary was called at 9.40pm yesterday (Sunday October 31) to reports of a single vehicle collision and said an 18-year-old man suffered minor injuries.

South Central Ambulance Service also attended the scene along with on-call firefighters from Burley.

A spokesperson for the ambulance service said: "We had on scene a rapid response vehicle and no one was taken to hospital."

A Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service (HIWFRS) spokesperson added: "On-call firefighters from Burley were called at 9.45pm last night following a road traffic collision involving one car which ended up on its roof.

"The incident took place in Verely, on the road between Burley and Picket Post.

"One casualty was given immediate emergency care by the crew before he was passed into the care of South Central Ambulance Service paramedics and treated for minor injuries."

"Hampshire Constabulary colleagues were in attendance to assist with traffic management.

"HIWFRS made the scene safe and returned to station at 11.17pm after the vehicle had been recovered."
