A man from Salisbury has been given a community order and ordered to pay compensation after assaulting an emergency worker in Hampshire.
Matthew Lavous, 51, of London Road in Salisbury assaulted a police officer on January 21, 2021, in Portsmouth.
He pleaded guilty to this charge on Monday, November 22, at Salisbury Magistrates Court.
He has been given a community order, and was also fined £295 which includes a £100 compensation order, and surcharges of £195 to fund victim services and the Crown Prosecution Service.
He must pay this by December 20 this year.
