A CAR worth more than £11,000 is the star prize in Salisbury District Hospital Stars Appeal Christmas raffle.

The Kia Picanto has been supplied by FJ Chalke of Mere.

Second prize is £1,000, third prize £500 and there are many more cash prizes too.

Supporting projects

Money raised by the raffle will help towards the £1million that the Stars Appeal aims to raise this year to fund projects at the hospital to help thousands of patients and the NHS staff who care for them.

Projects the charity is currently fundraising for include free Wi-Fi, accommodation for the parents’ of poorly babies and children, support for staff, programmes of entertainment and support for older people in hospital, state-of-the-art equipment and funding a counsellor and morale boosting treats for staff.

Salisbury Journal:

George Chalke, Dealer Principal of FJ Chalke, said: “Having seen first-hand how local people benefit from projects funded by the Stars Appeal, like the breast unit, new scanners and parents accommodation for poorly children and babies, we are delighted to continue our support for this amazing charity.”
