A 28-year-old man must pay £1,098 for driving when his alcohol was nearly three times the legal limit and his driving record has been endorsed.

Inderjit Singh, of Coopers Road, Birmingham, drove a VW GOLF index on Salisbury Street, Amesbury, on July 30 this year without third party insurance and whilst the level of alcohol in his breath above the legal limit. 

There was 103 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of Singh's breath, which is above the legal limit of 35 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres.

Singh pleaded guilty at Salisbury Magistrates' Court on October 8, 2021, to driving when his alcohol level was above the limit, for which he was fined £512, and driving without third party insurance, for which he was fined £409. 

He also had to pay £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service and £92 to fund victim services.

The overall costs Singh must pay by November 5 this year came to £1098. 

Singh also received a driving record endorsement of 10 points.
