FOUR cases heard at Salisbury Magistrates' Court:

SCOTT MORGAN LLOYD, aged 30, of Hernog Close, Llandrindod Wells in Wales, pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour towards another, with intent to cause fear or provoke unlawful violence, while in Durrington on August 27 last year. On the same day he assaulted two emergency workers by beating in Melksham. Lloyd was committed to prison for 38 days and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £128 and costs of £150.

DAVID TREVOR GUEST, aged 36, of Gallaghers Mead, Andover, indicated a plea of guilty to assaulting another, causing actual bodily harm, in Salisbury on May 6. Guest also pleaded guilty to driving while exceeding the legal alcohol limit. On April 25 Guest was recorded driving a Triumph Dytona along Netherhampton Road in Salisbury with 141 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. He was committed to prison for 26 weeks suspended for 24 months, and was ordered to attend activities and appointments as instructed by an officer. Guest was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £128 and costs of £85, and was fined £120. He was disqualified from driving for 18 months. A restraining order is in place to protect the victim.

CORRY PHILIP DAVID ANDERSON, aged 21, of Randalls Croft Road, Wilton, indicated a plea of guilty to drug possession. On April 26 last year Anderson had five grams of cocaine in his possession, on September 5 last year 22 grams of cannabis, and August 1 of this year 0.6 grams of cannabis. He was fined a total of £280 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and costs of £85.

JOHN DAVID FOUNTAIN, aged 77, of Beverley Hills Park, Boscombe Down, Amesbury, pleaded guilty to driving while exceeding the legal alcohol limit. On July 18 Fountain was recorded driving a Suzuki Liana along the A345 at High Post with 48 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He was fined £300 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and costs of £85. He was disqualified from driving for 14 months.
