A family run pizza business served a free lunch to 800 NHS staff at Salisbury Hospital.

Nole Pizza served 220 pizzas at Salisbury Hospital last Friday, December 10, in aid of the Stars Appeal charity which supports staff and patients at Salisbury District Hospital.

A spokesperson from Nole said: "In the scheme of things, pizza does nothing to alleviate the pressure piled on our NHS this year, but everyone loves the good stuff so if it puts a smile on the face of just one overworked doctor or nurse we're happy."

Nole pizza have donated around 850 pizzas to Salisbury hospital staff this year through the Stars Appeal, their charity of choice.

"[The Stars Appeal] do a fantastic job and work tirelessly for the benefit of patients, their families, and staff at our local hospital," said the spokesperson.

"We do as much as we can when things are a little quiet in our pizza shops."

They shared these great photos from the day, and there seemed to be lots of happy smiles behind everyone's face masks.

They wanted to say thank to QandR events who lent them a stretch tend and Black Hole Storage and Marquise alloys who provided 800 soft drinks.

Events and Community Fundraiser for the Stars Appeal Gemma Heath said: "Staff were so happy to receive the delicious pizzas, it really was a wonderful Christmas treat for Salisbury Hospital's heroes.

"We would like to say a huge thank you to Nole Pizza and the whole team whose generosity made this day possible."
