A Salisbury Reds bus that was carrying school children had its windows smashed and Wiltshire Police are investigating.

Yesterday at around 4.30pm a number 44 bus travelling from Salisbury to Woodfalls in Lode Hill, Downton, had three top-deck windows smashed.

It is believed the windows were smashed by ball bearings shot by a catapult.

No-one was injured.

Salisbury Reds General Manager Alex Chutter said: “Thankfully nobody was injured, but this dangerous behaviour will not be tolerated.

"We are reviewing CCTV to identify the perpetrators, and are being assisted by the police.”

Police urge anyone with information to call 101 quoting crime reference number 52410121797.
