CHRISTMAS shoppers were entertained in Salisbury earlier today thanks to members of a school choir.

From 2pm today, December 16, around 40 pupils from Bishop Wordsworth's School stood outside the former Debenhams store singing carols.

Several shoppers and passers-by stopped to admire the singers performing, donning Santa hats and reindeer antlers.

The choir was stationed next to the countryside-inspired mural along Blue Boar Row, which came to life thanks to the school's art teacher, Samantha Redmill.

She, alongside students, parents and staff, painted the mural on the shop front last month, inspired by walks and sights from in and around Salisbury and Amesbury.
