The police were called to the city centre on Saturday evening after a man was assaulted, leaving him unconscious.
Wiltshire Police officers attended Blue Boar Row at approximately 7pm on Saturday (December 18), after receiving reports that a man in his 30s was left unconscious following an attack.
Police say the suspects are believed to have run off into the town centre.
A spokesperson from Wiltshire Police said: "Anyone who witnessed the incident who has not already spoken to police should call 101 and quote crime reference number 54210123405.
"Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
