A motorcyclist has died following a crash in Dinton last night, Wednesday December 22.
At 7pm yesterday a motorcyclist from Amesbury died after a crash with a Volkswagen Touran on Hindon Road, near Wyndham Pub.
Police say he was in his 40s.
UPDATE: Man charged with murder after Dinton crash
The driver of the Volkswagen, a man from Mere also in his 40s, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is currently in Melksham custody.
The victim's family has been informed and are being supported by a specialist trained family liaison officer.
Police have appealed for witnesses, or anyone who saw either vehicle prior to the collision taking place, to get in touch.
They also want to speak to anyone who may have dash cam footage from the Hindon Road area between 6.45pm and 7.20pm last night.
