TWO rabbits, including one that was due to be given as a Christmas present, were stolen in Nomansland.

The rabbits were taken from the farm shop on School Road between 7pm yesterday (Wednesday December 22) and 9am today (Thursday December 23).

A white female rabbit with black ears and three black spots was stolen from inside a hutch.

The second rabbit, a black and white male, was kept in a cage in a separate run.

A police spokesperson said: "The enclosures were fox proof and the rabbits could not escape on their own. One of the rabbits was due to be given as a Christmas present.

"We are asking anyone with information who may have seen anything suspicious in the area overnight, or anyone who may have seen the rabbits for sale, should call 101 and quote crime reference number 54210124851."
